When BA discover that their agent has goofed big time here, surely, surely if no avios seats are available they must do the only possible action of loading you 2 more seats on your original date. They should pay for their error. If you were the one to goof you will certainly be made to pay. I'd press that, but with a UK based call centre, all depending on the outcome. You poor, poor thing.
