Yes, I do amaze easily, it keeps me in a good mood. Just for the record, the Hyatt Paris, like all Hyatts do have a price list for laundry. If you had taken the time to look into it, you would have seen how much they charge and either decided to give your undershirt to be cleaned or not. You could also have called the concierge and ask him if they had made a mistake as far as the price was concerned. I checked with Hyatt and their price is € 14.-, steep price I agree, but there you are. It is Rue de la Paix, one of the most prestigious addresses in Paris, if the prices seem too steep for you, then you always have the choice of NOT giving your undershirt to the cleaner.
If the dollar had not been so low, you might have paid less and then said nothing. Have you thought about that too?
A hamburger at Mc Donald's costs as low as 99c in the US, up to $ 4.- in Europe, if not more...so what? I never heard anybody complain, except Americans. The difference is that Europe pays its employees a minimum wage, the Americans do not.
