I am aware of "Marriott.com website : bugs, glitches and outages" but IMHO this deserves its own thread. When checking out of hotel in Doha earlier this week, I noticed another reservation in-progress in Marriott Cape Town. Thought it was just a mistake as I am going there in 2 months but upon examining it, it was under completely different person name etc. So I requested their email via the chat function, sent them screenshots and waiting for an answer now. According to LinkedIn, it seems to be legit real person working for large MNC with long history.
However, today, new reservation for stay in 2 weeks appeared today on my list, now for Westin. At least now I know that their company rate is about half of what I can get there
Also, strangely, my stay in Doha completely disappeared from stays history, even hold on my card is no longer showing in my online statement.
Anyone else had something like this happen? To me this looks like data and/or security issue.
