For a week or more, I have been unable to transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points from my account to Hyatt using the online transfer, which has always worked in the past (many transfers, many years). I called Chase and they said it is a known, current problem and they offered to transfer the necessary points for me, which they did. However, I asked how we solve this problem and after five different transfers, nobody at Chase seems to know how to fix this back to the way it worked before, and no one knows when this "issue" will be fixed, and all they could suggest was that I call them whenever I want more points.
Well, nuts to that-- I just spent :40 on the phone getting through and having this addressed.
They told me it is happening to all transfers and is a "known, current problem" (same odd a phrase from each rep, indicating that they are reading off of script). Just what the hell is happening here? I *cannot* believe that this is completely out of service. If it is my account, I want my account fixed. I told them that and they could only suggest that I "file a ticket", so I was transferred to someone to do so, and was told that I couldn't because it was known, current problem, but that I could file a formal complaint and that would result in a written response. So I said, let's do that. I was transferred to someone else, who told me that all formal complaints must be in writing to "the executive office". Thanks. Thanks for wasting my time. TImes about five.
I don't believe this is Chase-wide. It would have been fixed in the last week, as they wasted all this time on me, and they would be overwhelmed if everyone who wanted to transfer to Hyatt encountered this. Yet they have no way of addressing whatever is messed up with my account (which hasn't been messed up in the last ten years).
Anybody figure out what is going on here and get their problem fixed? How'd you do it? My current plan is just HUCA in a few days. Maybe I'll get someone who knows what's wrong and can fix it. Don't want to waste all this time just to make a routine points transfer.
I just transferred 200k and it showed up in my Hyatt account instantly. Sorry for that. How frustrating.
