Yeah you don't get anything for a no-show... no night credit, no points, nothing. Hotel just gets money.
You couldn't check in on the app while you were on the flight or heading to the airport?

The hotel definitely could've held you for late check in instead of counting as no show. Obviously whoever you spoke with never relayed or recorded any information about your late arrival... and whoever ran the night audit around 2-3am just marked you as no show since they either saw no info in reservation or ignored it.
