Hold times

Hello fellow ANA Mileage club patrons,

Does anybody know how it is logistically possible to ALWAYS have a waiting time of 60-120 minutes when calling ANA?

I am not making this post to whine or complain, even though I think it is completely ridiculous to have such wait times.

It‘s more just curiosity how this is possible. At all times of day and night and all days in the week, wait times exceed an hour based on reports here and on Reddit. My experience has been the same, calling at 9am pacific time did not change a thing and I waited over 90 minutes every time. The call center in the Philippines may be quicker but is unable to do any mileage related transactions. I am thinking,maybe they only have 4-5 English speaking agents or calls only plop up when customers have waited at least an hour. Perhaps somebody knows what is going on. Very interesting especially since I have perceived Japanese companies to value punctuality / promptness.
