Hi United/LH collective hive mind! A couple of quick questions.
Context: I'm on a 016 ticket with travel booked SFO-ORD-VIE outbound (C class) and then VIE-FRA-SFO return (D class). FRA-SFO is booked on the LH flight number, 454. I applied PlusPoints for a first upgrade and got the waitlist (which sort of surprised me given the inventory). Current fare buckets from ExpertFlyer are: F8 A7 J9 C9 D9 Z9 P9 G9 E9 N6 Y9 B9 M9 U9 H9 Q9 V9 W9 S9 T9 L9 K9. When I go to the LH site to manage my flight, I'm offered an upgrade from biz to first for $1270.
1. What do we think the odds are of this clearing? I assume pretty high.
2. When the trip was first booked, the UA site showed the whole itinerary (as I'd expect). After I applied the PlusPoints, now UA site/app only show the outbound leg. I assume there's no issue here since I see the full itinerary on LH as well as on my Concur portal. Hadn't seen any other reports of this issue, though, so was curious.
