I booked a room for tonite the 28th of February. Then I booked my flights and the best flight was a red eye from SFO to ORD. I decided to book a room for the night of the 27th and told the property that I am taking the red eye and I arrive at ORD at 6:00 AM and I won’t be at the hotel until about 8:30 AM. I then used the chat feature while I was on the plane restating this exact same info.

I booked a 1 bedroom suite for the 28th. When I made the second reservation for last night (Feb 27th) they only had a studio king. I knew I would have to check out and back in but they said they will make sure the new room is ready so it was seamless. Then in the chat the agent told me she found another 1 bedroom suite so I won’t have to change. I reminded her I was on a plane and I would arrive in the morning.

When I arrived I was told they charged me for a no show. After this trip with the double elite nights I should be platinum. This property is really inexpensive so I basically booked the extra night for the double elite nights.

The manager was working the desk when I arrived. She has no idea if I will get the double elite nights. I am going to call Marriott but I wanted to post here.

She said she could cancel the no show and book two rooms for tonite. But I don’t think I can get two sets of double elite nights for two rooms on one night.

What is the best way to resolve this so I get the double elite nights and is there a special phone number for Marriott hold members. Thanks!
