I'm silver and my buddy is gold. Flying DTW to PHX. Should I call and separate the reservations, so he might be upgraded while I stay in coach? Should I leave as is to help MY chances of getting upgraded?

Really don't want to hinder him, is there any advantage in leaving the reservations together?

DTW to PHX at 9:12 am on W, Feb 9, and PHX to DTW at 2:00pm on W, Feb 16. Any guess on our chance for upgrades to FC?
