Parameters:
From EDI to LAS
Depart 29th July - 1st August
Return 10th - 11th August
My current research has given a positioning to Dublin (with Ryanair) and then DUB-LHR-PHL-LAX-LAS-SEA-CLT-DUB 30th July - 11th August for £1,765.
The somewhat hefty layovers on the way home both land in the morning so I could probably find the energy to go on an exploration in lieu of a hotel!
I was wondering if there is any obvious low hanging fruit - perhaps I can return straight to EDI, there is somewhere better to position to, rack up some TPs within Europe instead/as well, or open jaw to somewhere else?

Be mindful that the connection time at PHL might be a bit tight. It took me 45mins + to clear immigration last August then you have to go through security to pick up the next flight. Fingers crossed you make the transfer quickly.
An overnight hotel at LAX (although generally not cheap) gives you the opportunity to avoid 12 hrs at the airport.
Have you considered seeing if you can pick up some US internal flights during your time in LAS to gain extra TPs?
