I really should post a trip report. We did Tampa-Raleigh and back in a Roomette. We absolutely loved it and can't wait to do it again. Most of the time the train was doing 79 mph, even in Florida. Room 5 on a Viewliner 1 on the way up, Room 7 on a Viewliner 2 on the way back, so mostly in the middle.

Much like ND76, I didn't sleep much on the first night, but slept peacefully on the return trip. I normally have a terrible time falling asleep, but sleep like a rock once I finally do.

I think the Roomette might be better for sleep than a Bedroom since the bunks are facing the direction of travel.
