Hello - New here, so hopefully this is the right way to ask this question. I’ve been Delta SkyMiles for a long time. Not pleased with with the changes to their program but was contemplating a shift prior to those announcements. My main issue is that despite being Diamond on Delta, I rarely get upgraded because of the large number of Diamonds based in San Diego. I’m considering a switch to Alaska Mileage Plan. I mainly fly San Diego to New York, usually twice a month and then bounce around on the west coast outside of that. It seems like Alaska could be a great fit. My question is whether or not elite status leads to consistent upgrades for people who typically fly out of San Diego? Any insights would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
