Ok, another bad KL experience with claims. The curse of Humberside.
1) Outbound
My HUY-AMS was cancelled with less than 24hr notice, tech reasons given, rebooked on flight departing and arriving 4hrs early.
Received favorable reply to my request for a voucher... but they're only granting £192.19.... A voucher is supposed to be increased from the statutory £220, not decreased...
I am pretty sure the jurisprudence where if you are rebooked on an earlier flight the 50% reduction doesn't apply was discussed recently on one of these threads... so I intend to find it and contest... what a hassle...
2) Inbound
AMS-HUY 15 days later was also cancelled.... with 32hr notice. No reasons given. Rebooked on flight departing and arriving.... 4hrs early.
Demand was rejected on reasons "of bad weather conditions (unfavorable gusty winds resulting in runway capacity reduction in AMS"
This one doesn't sit right with me, so going to gather some data. I think I can grab the METAR from the internet, but does anyone know how to grab departure history for that day? I want to see how many other flights were cancelled and unfortunately FR24 only goes back a couple of days.
