Would likely cancel the ticket for refund rather than take the hit on the Avios earning TBH

**Edit: Does anyone have experience successfully claiming back additional Avios through BA customer service when they posted under the new system when they should have posted under the old?

Previous advice suggests the original Avios amounts will credit without issue, however I'm in exactly the same boat with an AA ticket originally issued in August but reissued twice since October due to schedule change. I'm not entirely convinced it'll be smooth sailing but all I can do is wait and see.

FWIW I had a pre October BA ticket where I took a POUG and the original ticket was reissued post October. I received an amount of Avios that didn't correspond to either the pre October amount or the post October amount. It was somewhere in the middle. I couldn't face the retrospective claiming process given the tier points were correct and the relatively small amount at stake so just let it slide. However like you my AA ticket has a hefty amount of Avios at stake so I'll be sure to retain all boarding passes and track those carefully/follow up as needed.
