From the FAQ:
I'm an eligible primary cardholder, but I want to credit my flight miles to another program.
In order to qualify for the first checked bag free benefit, you must credit your flight miles to Mileage Plan™. Companions traveling with the cardholder may credit flight miles to other programs.
