I've never heard of AirAsia including bags unless it's a more expensive fare that bundles it together. Perhaps if you can see the fare class on Capital One (or better yet get/read the full fare rules) you can find the same fare on the AirAsia site and whether bags are included. Your seats will be random and you probably will be scattered around the plane. You'll also pay for everything - including water - and your carry on bag may be weighed and charged if it's over 7kg.
Personally, I'd go with Thai Airways. It includes 20kg checked per person, free seat assignments, and free food and snacks. They are also much easier to deal with if there are schedule changes or any other issues.
