Gotta vouch for this. It's just an anecdote, but during CNY, literally half of my wechat moments was friends vacationing in Australia. Not a single person I know went to USA or Europe.

Even more than this, I have seen Economy priced higher than Premium Economy on PVG/SFO flight searches on certain days.
