To me, the connection between resort fees on the one side and Globalist on the other side seems pretty far-fetched. Yeah, Globalists get some perks from Hyatt because statistically, they are the highest-margin customers (booking the Hyatt even when prices are at nosebleed levels, wining and dining at the Hyatt for a premium etc.). And among the kickback they get are waived resort fees.
But I don't see how any of this is relevant to my position on resort fees. If resort fees were banned, Hyatt could surely tweak the incentive system for Globalists a little bit st effectively, very little changes.
