Greyed out seats are blocked until allocation nearer the flight, most often in the hands of Load Control on the day of travel. Allows them to manage weight&balance and pax with special handling needs etc.
Greyed-out with a head silhouette are occupied.
I see this on NSN-WLG, and AKL-KKE both in near future and in 2025, so seems ‘standard’?
