Time change is less than 2 hours, but new itinerary switches last leg from an A319 to a 737-8 (not Max-8), so there is a change in equipment. Given your situation (last leg of a trip, on the way home, with no pressing need to be there) I would go with the shorter 50 min connection all day long and really not worry about it. If you were to miss it then AA will just rebook you on the same later connection.
