My wife has a few nights girls trip with her mother and sister in April. As I will not be on the trip staying at a hotel where having status does not matter we are looking at booking through AAHotels. I'll make the booking and pay on my CC, but will not be going on the trip. If I book the room and put my wife's name as a guest and give her the CC to take in case they ask her to show the CC used to make the reservation will there be any issues?

I think not and I do not think hotels care in general, but I know the name on the reservation must match my AA account for the credit unlike the good ol' RM days. Wanted to see if there are any watch outs that I need to be aware of here?
