I was also going to suggest best thing would be for OP to book on the DUB-LHR flight.

However I am guessing he is perhaps reluctant to do that because he'd also like to accompany them to the CCR, so would need a further onward flight for that. Effectively meaning 2x B2Bs/turnarounds. But that would be the surest way of keeping them company on the trip.
