But sadly due to an accident I had to change the dates to 29 Feb 2024. The Economy Special Plus allowed unlimited free changes with add collection if fare is higher but no refunds. For that date, the new fare came to $1625.36 ($1352 base plus tax remained same at $273.86) so I had to pay an extra $456.80. This is oneway, mind you !

I was thinking of changing my dates due to the fact that I cannot find any hotel accomodation in Singapore for the weekend of 2/March. I didn't know at the time that Taylor Swift would be playing in Singapore for the whole week and when I checked on the new dates, eg March 4th, the Economy Special Plus is going for $767.96 which includes tax ! That means if I am to use the same ticket, I would have overpaid by more than double, or rather overpaid by $857.40 . Fare basis and booking class remains the same - V. So no changes there.

How to go about this... will JL refund me the fare difference when I change the date? Can I reissue it as a roundtrip ticket ? (4 Mar - 11Sep would still cost less than the fare I paid) Or buy a new ticket, and then change this existing ticket to a later date.

Your expertise appreciated..
Refer to your fare rules. I've seen JL fare rules that state this

FARE DIFFERENCE MUST BE PAID/REFUNDED.
RESERVATION AND TICKET ADJUSTMENTS MUST BE DONE
AT THE SAME TIME.
