My two cents:

The AC is down near gate 9 and it's easy to make it to the NRT flight in < 10 minutes even walking at a leisurly pace.

I normally have problems upgrading NRT->SJC but not SJC->NRT, ymmv (I did note that the NRT->LAX flight showed C7 about 5 hours before it departed last night)
