So if I book a new refundable flight before March that costs more than the trip credit, and then cancel it, I will get a new trip credit for the full amount with a new expiration date?
This is what some people have been reporting, but it is not a published rule from AA. I might try it before my trip credit expires in May, assuming I don't find another use for it before then. Will report back. Please also do so if you try it!
