Having CX gold status and *A Gold (I don't know if *A gold or *A plat but I am Air China lifetime Plat) SQ is definitely the dominating airline in Asia, serving southern Asia the most. CX is still way above JL NH and BR (both quality and quantity) serving most of international Chinese travelers (excluding mainland carriers) and the Australia region. I don't see CX being able to return to its former glory but a TOP 5 Skytrax is still very attainable in the next 2 years, while in terms of size it cant outcompete SQ again. But once again, it is still the biggest transpacific service and UK (maybe even EU as a whole?) available in Asia so it does beat JL NH BR significantly.
