Four Points by Sheraton Perth

Property: Four Points by Sheraton Perth
Date(s): Friday 23 February
Room booked: Guest room, 1 king
Room received: Guest room, 1 king
Elite Level: Titanium
Award stay: Yes
Rate Type: N/A
SNAs redeemed: No
Comments: In the event we didn't stay again at the Westin as there was a blackout for award redemptions, I didn't like the cash rates, and we wanted to eat out at a nice Perth restaurant in the evening anyway rather than drown ourselves in lounge wine. So, we redeemed 25k points at the Four Points which also seemed to have high cash rates. After checking in online a few days before, the Bonvoy app was promising me an upgrade to a Studio Corner Room and this was still showing when we rocked up at 15.00. The upgrade was not mentioned - also my first non-upgrade in living memory - and we got a bog standard Guest room overlooking the RAC Arena. I also didn't mention it as I didn't care and I was more interested in the 4pm check out which we got (standard check out here is 11am according to the app). We chose breakfast as our welcome gift in lieu of 500 points and it was decent enough though the clientele left a lot to be desired. Location is probably the best of the Bonvoy hotels if you want to walk into downtown Perth. All in all, a fine, if somewhat vanilla, stay. I'll also add that the stay didn't post so on the 10th day I sent in the Missing Stay request and the next day it appeared in my account along with a teeth-grinding email saying they had checked my account and saw that the stay has already posted. Yes, I thought, because you just posted it.
