I had some miles post in my account that were labelled Special Promotion. I wasn't sure what they were for, but I have recently flown transatlantic in CW three times, so I figured that's where they came from.

However, a week later they were all deducted from my account. The description on the statement is Ex-Gratia. I thought Ex-Gratia was only used when people were getting discretionary miles from BA, not when BA was taking them away.
