I just tried checking in online for a JFK-AUH (New York to Abu Dhabi) direct flight in business class tomorrow Feb 24 2024 after online check-in opened. I get the following message:
[You have been waitlisted.
Check-in at the airport to try and get available seats.
Waitlist
Boarding pass unavailable. Please proceed to the airport check-in desk for collection.]
I purchased this flight a month ago and the ticket was confirmed at the time. I just checked with my Abu Dhabi-based travel agent who purchased the flight, and they are also saying my reservation is confirmed. I am hoping the waitlist message is some kind of a simple system error, but I googled, and see that many other people have had the same problem over the past year:

Has anyone on this forum faced the same problem with Etihad? If so, how did it get resolved? JFK airport is 2 hours away from me, and I don't want to drive all the way if I don't have a confirmed seat.
