For those of us who have access to airport lounges, the obvious thing to do when flying coach is to eat a filling meal at the lounge before the long flight (in most places, lounge food is much more extensive than it was even a decade or so ago). I will note that PPT doesn't have such a lounge, so you probably want to eat before getting to the airport.
Sadly DL is serving almost the same meals in longhaul DPS (which can easily cost over $5000 RT) as in coach. There's nothing premium about this.
