They're usually low paid workers in a crap environment who will get sacked for minor performance lapses. They've been TOLD to make passengers scan a BP, they don't get paid enough to care why.

I get that — life’s too short and all that, but the post by 000 above shows that it’s not just rank and file employees performing a task as instructed, there appears to be an effort by managers / people who should know better to fiddle with the stats, and that’s not right.
