AFAIK BA only know about the scan at the start of security, not the 2nd scan and the end of the security queue. At the FW this would effectively be the 3rd scan(is there a security timing scanner in FW?) as the lounge entry scan is also done as you enter the FW.

my suspicion on reading your original post is that something went wrong with one ready to fly scans (one of the 2 scans done at entry to the FW). This is also suggested by CWS in your thread. This is different from the timing scan at the end of the security q.
