Doesn't that require a credit check to get a Japanese credit card?

So basically NH’s MM program is useless as there is no lifetime *G?

JAL offers JAL Global Club. But if you don't already have it, you need to achieve 3000 Lifetime Status Points. If you live outside of Japan, that is basically 300,000 butt in seat miles.
Is it worth achieving? How does JL count the miles flown? Will deep discounted economy flights count on a 1:1 basis? Which flights will count? Is it lifetime OWS or OWE?
