That was ages ago (we share the birthday, if you remember the conversation from last year, different thread. ) That said, I had the same experience, on my usual commuter flight from Sarajevo: the purser came and (rather awkwardly, in the sense that she attempted a “half” speech…) wished me happy birthday (for the records, the chap on the other side, i.e. 1A, heard it all and also “shouted” happy birthday, followed by the folks in row 2… )
