Yes, I suspect tomorrow he will receive an email informing him that if he books any further travel with BA within the next 2 (?) years, the reservation will be cancelled. So he will be fired as a customer, and depending on his personal and work circumstances that could be quite a punishment. .
if only he could be fired as a customer of all pubs, bar and wine shops in the country, that would be an even better and more effective punishment but sadly, that’s not an option…
