I've never seen an airline spray fragrance and cabin air is (usually) 60% fresh and 40% recirculated through HEPA filters resulting in a complete change of air roughly every 3 minutes on average while in flight. So they would basically be perfuming the outside.

Airplanes in flight offer one of the cleanest air in a confined space anywhere.
