I've enrolled in the 90-day Globalist challenge and am planning a mattress run in Spain for a 20-night stay.(AluaSun Doblemar in Alicante) When booking directly through hyatt web, the rate is $62 per night. However, if I book through hyattinclusivecollection, I can get the rate of $45 per night. The offer mentions a 'summer holiday 30% promotion,' but it's not visible on the official Hyatt main website, which is causing me confusion and doubt. I just had a phone call with the Hyatt customer center, and the agent assured me that hyattinclusivecollection is a legitimate subdivision of the website. They confirmed that even if I book through this platform, it will still be counted as qualifying night stays. I would greatly appreciate it if someone could verify this information for me. The booking is non-refundable, and I want to avoid making an impulsive purchase without understanding what I'm getting into. Can someone please assist me in confirming these details?
Hyattinclusivecollection should be fine. There is lots of "World of Hyatt" branding and the ability to log in to your WoH account. However, I have sometimes found that the major OTAs will be matching that "lower" rate, which you can then use to BRG on the main Hyatt website.

Some other things to keep in mind are:
  1. You must check in personally, and you can't just leave and assume they won't check you out when they find an empty room (An Alua hotel called me for a welfare check last year, but at least I was planning to return to the hotel later)
  2. Doblemar is a 2-hour drive from Alicante airport and the area will be very quiet during a season where the room costs 40 euros per night - you need a rental car. (and although it won't be cold, you won't want to swim either)
  3. Not all Alua hotels post their stays quickly. Last year I had a big nightmare getting various Alua stays to post.
For a 3 week trip in off season, I would recommend that you consider paying a bit more for:
  1. The AluaSoul in Torremolinos / Malaga
  2. The Alua Leo or AluaSoul Palma in Mallorca
Both are easily reached with public transportation from the airport / city in places that offer far more things to do in springtime besides golf...
