Not sure which LH flight to MLA you looked at - LH.com shows that Lh1276 departed from A1 on 2/21. But more importantly, the UA flight from SFO arrived at the Z level, above the A gates.
Have a look at my earlier link about connecting in FRA about the various concourses in T1. Z is the non-Schengen area above A.
Definitely don’t expect that the flight from SFO will be at the gate next to the MLA to make connections easy. Few people will make that particular connection.
