Million Miler Status earning
I used to be a Gold Medallion for many years. Have had several Delta Amex cards, really loaded up on the miles.
But I left SkyMiles probably 15 years ago over to United, because the award redemptions trend was already bad for SM back then.
Most of the flying I did was international, pretty much all to Europe out of SFO. And I often purchased AF flights and credited miles to my SM account, because I preferred to have a direct TATL segment from SFO rather than connecting through ATL, JFK, MSP, etc.
So I logged into my Delta SkyMiles account for the first time in at least several months, because I'm contemplating buying an AF J ticket. I was shocked to see that I had over 427k miles in my Million Miler Status. That would have to mean that all those AF flights to Europe counted towards MMS.
By contrast, UA only awards their Million miler only on actual UA metal. I've flown a fair number of LH and LX TATL flights but UA also offers plenty of nonstop TATL flights out of SFO as well. On United MP, I only have 342k miles towards Million Miles from being exclusively a UA MP member the past 10-15 years.
So is it confirmed that AF tickets, whether booked through Delta or directly with AF, would count towards DL Medallion MMS?
