On most of the routes where I fly B6 there is no competing option, so a better seat, even with no food, would be something I'd see as a viable option. I realize there are many routes where the competition is more significant, but B6 mostly flies point to point rather than through hubs, so I think it's not quite an apples-to-apples comparison.
I agree with you to a point. The main reason I buy and fly F is for the bigger seat and 2-2 configuration. The food is secondary. That said, I would actually choose Spirit over B6 because Spirit has something B6 doesn't....the Big Front Seat. I've got no problem shelling out a few bucks for wifi and not getting a meal, but I need 2-2... And it has nothing to do with my size... I'm 5'10" 195 lbs
