I took my first membership holiday in 2020 when the COVID pandemic hit, as I didn’t want to lose my Diamond status. Not long after that CX announced the membership extensions because of COVID and I was advised that after I have used up the 3 holidays, they will give me another.

In August 2023, I jumped the gun again and took another holiday and soon after CX announced the special upgrades for renewals. My current holiday does not end till March 4th 2024 and I have 1070 status points. My current membership expiry is July 2024.

I have a CX trip coming up after the membership holiday and can reach over 1200 status points by 31st March 2024. So I rang and asked if I can reset at the end of March and get the 400 bonus points or at the very least allow me to reset my membership holidays to 0.

I have been Diamond since 2012. Gold on Star Alliance and EK through my credit/charge cards but Oneworld is my preferred group.
