With an appointment, my spouse waited 20 minutes for his interview because only one officer was interviewing. After his interview, two officers were interviewing. Fortunately your appointment does matter when it comes to the queue. Those who show up on time has the higher priority.

On the U.S. side at YVR airport, depending on the number of people ahead of you, I would budget at least two hours. My spouse waited for an hour before he was interviewed. So check in 3 hours before your departure time is recommended.
Thanks! My problem is that I have a connection of less than 5 hours at YVR, from an incoming flight ex-SIN, to an ongoing flight to SFO. I have to consider the possibility that the flight from SIN will be late, especially since the airline is AC. I'm considering booking the CBSA appointment for 1.5 hours after my scheduled arrival, but there could be wasted time at the front end. Should I go ahead with my original plan, and if I'm early just show up in hopes of getting an earlier interview?
