Hi - Just curious if this is normal. I am booking a Hilton hotel which requires 150000 points. My balance is 120000 points with Hilton. I needed 30000 so I did a transfer of 20000 Amex membership rewards points which would add 40000 more to Hilton's total. The transfer went through and I see the 40000 REX points on my Hilton account. But the total number of points remains unchanged at 120000. I called Hilton and they said wait 24-48 hours. But if my account activity shows the 40000 points, shouldn't the total amount of points have been increased to ? Is this typical? I thought it should show 160000 points if the transfer appears on the account. Is this a typical delay, considering Amex says the transfer was successful?

I wish I had taken a print out or screenshot of my account prior to doing the transfer.
