Interesting – on 03 FEB as I was passing through exit controls (non-prio 3), I noticed the eGates used to process foreigners were of a different version to the ones used previously. Looks way newer than the gates installed on the other side of the hall.

However, the fun began when I tried scanning my passport and lo and behold, it does NOT work! No matter how many times I switched between gates the first door just wouldn't open... So I gave up and joined the queue of shame, once I approached the IO I asked her what's going on and she replied "we discovered issues and had to 'rewrite' the entire software"...
