Yes - but it involves the payment of a (large) penalty fee, or the purchase of a brand-new ticket at the last minute.
Neither of these things are cheap.
It's certainly easier, cheaper, and more advisable, to "fix" the ticket now, rather than doing nothing and getting stuck with a large bill on the day of intended travel.
