Ariel is one of those shibboleths, like the finale to the William Tell overture. (If you can hear it without thinking of The Lone Ranger, you're very cultured ... or under 70 years old... Come to think of it, it's a decreasingly revealing shibboleth). As for Ariel, if your first association is The Tempest rather than The Little Mermaid, I bet that your pocket square matches your tie.
