There are also fireworks as part of the Christmastown in West Kowloon Park (at least this past year) We watched them on December 26th from the waterfront promenade area. Very crowded. There did seem to be some areas/restaurants you could reserve - perhaps a less prime day than the others? View was amazing with the full skyline behind the pyrotechnics!
