Are your accounts both "legacy" accounts from the days when the only way to log in to an AsiaMiles account was via the account number?
I had a similar situation where I had two accounts. On the phone the agent asked me which account number I want to keep. They said they'd merge the two accounts into one with the account number I wanted (not that it mattered because the one I didn't want had 100 asia miles or something)
