Definitely think they look better viewed from the TST side than the island side, since looking across at the TST skyline is less spectacular in my opinion.

Second the suggestion that there are many restaurants in TST towers one could go to do this. Hutong, Aqua, etc. The bar way up on the 100th floor of the Ritz looking down may make an interesting view! (at the risk of rendering the fireworks potentially tiny!)
