I thought that that AA might expand the use of the app at Admirals Clubs (the last post in that thread was a long time ago), but if you are still being asked for ID, it seems that is not correct.
I found it to be more of a hassle than it was worth, especially since DFW isn't my local airport, so stopped using it.
It would be helpful if in further reports to include if you are enrolled in Airside and/or if you've had your ID scanned before.
